1962 Yoshiya, Chief Robotman in Original Box
Classic blockhead skirted Chief Robotman by Yoshiya. Complete with original box. I've seen this robot many times over the years and have sold several examples. However this one, by far, grades as the best I've seen; incredible Near Mint+ to Mint and the closest a to factory state. The box also grades as one of the best I've seen; Excellent+. An amazing combination. This is the light gray (or silver) body version with the other being a darker blue. Predominately made of tin litho (including the arms) with plastic head and chest details. Battery operated toy features random stop and go movement with rapid head turning, spinning antennae, flashing headlamp, and rocking arms. Simultaneously it produces a loud grrr sound which alternates with internal gear sounds. The Yoshiya trademark was embossed on the underside of the base. The box features a near-full panel color illustration of the Chief in action. All actions are stated on the top cover and sides. The Yoshiya trademark was printed in the lower left corner.
